For decades’ art was made, defined and consumed in very exclusive circles. However, today it seems like the internet had broken these barriers to some extent. The borders between "mainstream" and "fine art" became blurred. Online archives open a huge amount of artworks to the public. These can inversely be enjoyed locally and privately. The desktop turns to an intimate platform to engage with images of "fine art".
